Our Story

At A Slice of Support, the warmth of freshly baked goods meets the spirit of generosity.

Founded in 2021 by Shanaya Ghai, a passionate baker and student from The Shri Ram School Aravali, ASOS is more than an enterprise. It is a movement to uplift lives through baking.

What began as an act of love for baking grew into a platform for social change. From organizing impactful bake sales to teaching underprivileged children how to bake, ASOS is a blend of compassion, skill-building, and indulgence.

Baking, to us, is not just a culinary skill but a language of care, connection, and empowerment.

Bake a difference with us.

A Slice of Support began with a simple idea: the right skill can change the course of a life. Baking, with its low barrier to entry and endless room for creativity, is one of the most accessible ways to turn a skill into a steady livelihood.

Shanaya Ghai, the Founder of ASOS, is a trained baker with more than eight years of experience. Years of experimenting in the kitchen and developing original recipes gave her a deep understanding of the craft. Her interest in community development also led her to notice a clear gap: many young people had the drive to work but lacked access to practical training and the support needed to earn an income of their own.

She founded ASOS as a grassroots initiative to help individuals become financially self-sufficient and independent through baking. Members learn far more than recipes. Drawing on her passion for economics and business ventures, Shanaya teaches them how to price, package, and market their products, and how to build business models that are viable and scalable.

For Shanaya, ASOS reflects a belief that economic independence is one of the most lasting forms of empowerment, and that confidence grows when people see their own work valued.

Founder's message
“Baking taught me that small, careful steps can turn simple ingredients into something remarkable. I believe the same is true of people. Through ASOS, I hope to give every member the skills, guidance, and confidence to shape their own future, one batch at a time.”
